I have read and liked all of this author's prior works. This one started very slow by comparison, and took longer to read. It seemed to spend a lot of words authenticating the history aspect and premise, which is odd for this author. I preferred his other works.

I liked that there were dragons in this story and that they had to solve puzzles to find the nexes marker. It was a fun adventure.
